Golden Gate Bridge 75th birthday fireworks (5/27/2012)

May 27, 1937–the Golden Gate Bridge opened to pedestrians after 4 years of construction. May 27, 2012–tens of thousands in the San Francisco Bay Area cheered the fireworks display celebrating the 75th birthday of the iconic, “big government,” Depression-era bridge.  Pyro Spectaculars by Souza planned the display over two years.  Viewed from Lincoln Park and Land’s End Trail.
